How Remote Start Works
After activation, press the lock button on the original BMW key three times.
The vehicle starts automatically and can begin heating or cooling the cabin according to the climate-control settings.
The Remote Engine Start function can also be enabled or disabled from the compatible iDrive climate or preconditioning menu.
Availability of individual menu functions may depend on the vehicle’s software version, equipment and market configuration.
